James F. (Jim) Roberts, Attorney at Law, is the owner and founder of The Law Office of James F. Roberts--one of the premiere estate planning law firms in Orange County. Since the firm’s foundation in 1981, with Jim at the helm, the firm has been able to meet the estate planning needs of thousands of clients.

More than twenty-five years ago, while Jim was handling a probate matter, he witnessed first hand the devastation of poor planning when three daughters picked up their deceased mother’s jewelry and started throwing it at one another. This event was a turning point in Jim’s life--right then he decided he would start a campaign to warn as many people as possible about the devastation to families when their loved ones are unnecessarily forced into probate. To date, he and his firm have successfully assisted over 8,000 clients (and counting) in protecting their families from suffering the problems of probate in addition to protecting the family assets from avoidable taxes.

Jim was raised in Whittier, California. Jim graduated from the University of California, Davis. Jim received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific—Mc George School of Law. Jim has been married for more than 30 years to Dr. Gayle Roberts, a veterinarian in Irvine, California. Their two young adult children, Dustin and Diana are both away at Universities—Dustin pursuing his post graduate degree and Diana pursuing her undergraduate degree.
